Week 6, Term 2

Kia ora koutou,

We had a great time doing our crazy hair pictures based on our big book - Mrs Hippopotamus's Bad Hair Day and our favourite song - "Bad Hair Day" . For the first lesson, we noticed drew our own features in as much detail as we could. Another day, we studied how hair appears on our head and how to draw that in a regular manner. For the next lesson we put all our features into black crayon and planned some crazy hair. Finally, we coloured and painted.

This week, in inquiry we will be studying, writing and reading about bubbles.

Do check out our egg reports that are published and up for you to read in the class. We are trying to organise our writing into a sequence using words like first, next, after that etc.

The spelling got under way last week and continues this week with all students having a fresh list to practice. Thank you to Liz and Danielle for testing on Friday! Students will have time during the day to practice their words but any support you can give at home will greatly enhance your child's success. Please encourage them to have their words tested on a Friday. They should pop their yellow book in the basket for that purpose.

In PE we will move onto bouncing skills.

Our show rehearsals are in full swing you can expect to be hearing some catchy tunes around your house 😊

See you tomorrow!

Kind regards,
